I was born in the USSR and then lived in America. Before I was interested in photography I was interested in
the world – and travel. And I remain a traveler first. I have no base and spend 365 days a year on the road. For me,
the journey remains at least as exciting and interesting as the photography. The images and essays you find here are
fragments of journeys. They document people and places; but they are also a chronicle of my life. Of all the lives
one can live, this is the record of one possibility.
